About the film
Poland is a land of resilience, memory, and timeless beauty. From the rebuilt heart of Warsaw, a city that rose from the ashes of war, to the royal charm of Kraków, where tradition has been preserved for centuries, the journey unfolds through places that shaped the spirit of a nation. At Auschwitz, history whispers its darkest truths, etched forever in humanity’s memory, a solemn reminder to never forget. Descending into the Wieliczka Salt Mine, we discover a cathedral beneath the earth, carved entirely from salt – a masterpiece of devotion and ingenuity. The wild majesty of the Tatra Mountains rises above, where nature meets the sky, and nearby Zakopane welcomes us as Poland’s winter capital, alive with wooden charm, slopes, and alpine spirit. In the east, Lublin stands as a crossroads of cultures and traditions, while the riverside town of Kazimierz Dolny hides secrets above and below, with castle ruins, Renaissance architecture, and underground tunnels by the Vistula River. This is not just a journey through places – it is a journey through time, memory, and the soul of Poland.
